Job Summary
Teach Secondary Pure Chemistry (typically Sec 3-4, O-Level syllabus) by delivering engaging, structured lessons aligned with the MOE syllabus.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver clear, structured Chemistry lessons that simplify complex concepts to enhance student understanding and engagement
- Prepare comprehensive lesson materials, worksheets, and practice questions aligned with the O-Level Pure Chemistry syllabus
- Assess and mark students work, providing constructive feedback to support student learning and inform parents of progress
- Track and analyze students academic progress to identify and address learning gaps effectively
- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive, supportive learning environment conducive to student success
- Communicate students progress and learning needs to parents or guardians as required
- Manage small to medium-sized classes (2 - 6 students) to ensure personalized attention and effective teaching
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Strong academic background in Pure Chemistry (O-Level / A-Level / Diploma / Degree)
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience in Chemistry
- Familiarity with the O-Level Pure Chemistry syllabus
- Clear communication skills and a patient teaching approach
- Responsible, punctual, and committed work ethic
