Purchasing officer (Jurong island)

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end purchasing activities, including sourcing, quotation comparison, and issuance of Purchase Orders (PO)
• Liaise closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply-related issues
• Support price negotiation with suppliers to achieve cost-effective procurement
• Perform goods receipt in SAP to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions
• Coordinate inbound logistics and provide administrative support for purchasing operations
• Maintain proper documentation, records, and filing in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement processes

Undertake any other ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirement

• Minimum ITE / Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with SAP (preferably MM module) will be an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong attention to detail with good organisational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
