I) A critical member of the Procurement team with the following Duties and Responsibilities:
1. RFQs and Tender management:
- Plan, analyze, source, consolidate, prepare and submit response documents for tender exercises conducted by customers to achieve optimal and profitability outcome.
- Prepare and respond promptly to requests for quotations from customer.
2. Relationship Management:
- Establish, manage, and enhance long-term beneficial relationships with customers and suppliers. Foster open communication and collaboration to build trust and ensure mutual success in procurement activities.
3. Cost Improvement & Negotiation:
- Execute costs reduction strategies and develop new vendors to ensure cost competitiveness
- Negotiate with customers and suppliers to secure advantageous terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
4. Management Support:
- Prepare and consolidate key functional metrics for management review
- Support management in analysis of data and trends
5. System Improvement:
- Work closely with team members and appointed vendors to support and enhance the current procurement system including SAP and continuous learning of the AI sales and sourcing automation system.
6. Order Processing
- Support the team in processing of customer orders when required
7. Additional Duties:
- Support, develop and coach junior staff in day to day operations to grow as a team
- Undertake any other duties or projects as assigned by the reporting officer. This flexibility ensures that the procurement team can adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
