We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Executive to manage international sourcing, with a focus on suppliers from China. The ideal candidate will have strong English and Mandarin communication skills, experience with ERP systems, and a solid understanding of global procurement and logistics processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- International Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Source and evaluate suppliers from China and other international markets.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent product quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Communicate effectively in English and Mandarin to manage negotiations, resolve issues, and coordinate production timelines.
Order & Shipment Management
- Process and monitor purchase orders using ERP systems.
- Track production and shipment schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate with logistics partners for shipping, customs, and import procedures.
- Verify and manage shipping and customs documentation.
- Process Improvement & Support
- Identify and recommend improvements in procurement processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., finance, warehouse, quality) to ensure smooth procurement operations.
- Handle ad-hoc tasks and support procurement projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in international purchasing, with a focus on Chinese suppliers.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations, Incoterms, and international logistics.
