Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in locating and selecting suitable materials, equipment, and services based on project and operational needs.
- Engage with suppliers to request quotations, verify order specifications, and follow up on delivery schedules.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of purchasing activities, including supplier information, order logs, and inventory data.
- Generate purchase orders and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any delivery issues.
- Conduct price checks and assist in evaluating vendors to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.
- Support the management of supplier agreements and contribute to maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather purchasing requirements and ensure alignment with timelines and project objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of purchasing or procurement experience preferably in the construction industry
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with purchasing software or basic Excel skills is a plus
- Diploma or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain, or related fields preferred
