Duties And Responsibilities
Your duties and responsibilities include the following:
- To provide the cost for the supervisor to calculate the prices for all tendering.
- To source, negotiate and raise Purchase Order to procure materials based on the customer's specifications.
- To do cost studying and control the purchase budget.
- To follow up closely on delivery dates & stock availabilities to meet the project delivery schedules.
- To upkeep purchasing information in databases and monitor stock balances to signal low stock levels for appropriate purchasing actions.
- To co-ordinate with Account department about the payment to the vendors and prepare all needed documents.
- To follow up with the settlement of the defective goods after receiving the goods receipt report from warehouse staff.
- To arrange and co-ordinate import/export and transshipment to ensure timely arrivals and handle all related documents.
- Negotiate with shipping lines, forwarding agents and suppliers when the container damages.
- Be able to find the solution to solve the problems in daily works.
- Any other job and duties assigned by your Supervisor/Manager/Management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing (experience in the construction/building materials industry is advantageous).
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking Mandarin (required for liaison with Mandarin-speaking suppliers from China).
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with procurement or ERP systems is a plus.
