Job Summary

Red Gum Pte Ltd is looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Clerk to support procurement operations by maintaining supplier information, preparing purchase orders, and assisting with purchasing procedures to ensure smooth workflow and effective supplier management.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier information to support procurement accuracy and efficiency
  • Prepare purchase orders following company procedures to ensure timely and correct ordering of goods
  • Request and compare quotations from suppliers to support cost-effective purchasing decisions
  • Assist in developing clear and simple purchasing procedures to maintain workflow continuity during team absences
  • Support negotiations with suppliers on pricing, product quality, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and payment terms to optimize procurement outcomes
  • Organize and update supplier records to ensure easy retrieval and compliance with company standards
  • Use Microsoft Excel and other Office tools to manage supplier data and purchasing documentation accurately

Required competencies and certifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, to manage purchasing data and documentation effectively
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in supplier information and purchase orders
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with suppliers and internal teams clearly and professionally
  • Comfortable working with structured procedures and supplier data to maintain consistent procurement processes

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • 1-3 years of purchasing or administrative experience supporting procurement operations
