Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and research potential suppliers for machine components, materials, and procurement items both locally and internationally.
- Continuously seek out new suppliers and assess current ones to ensure a reliable pool of qualified suppliers.
- Engage with suppliers to procure high-quality materials and products for the business.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and leverage negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, lead times, and ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers on delivery schedules, quality concerns, product specifications, and certification requirements.
- Coordinate supplier-led training sessions for designers and engineers when necessary.
- Oversee and track project costs to achieve cost savings and maintain accurate project cost data.
- Manage inventory turnaround times efficiently.
- Handle purchase order management and processes.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 1-2 years experience in purchasing | procurement in any industry
- Immediate starter is preferred
