Be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring materials, equipment, and services needed for projects, ensuring they arrive on time and within budget.
Includes managing supplier relationships, verifying quality, controlling costs, maintaining accurate documentation (POs/invoices), and coordinating with site teams to prevent shortages or delays.
Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with local and overseas vendors.
Key Aspects of the Purchaser's Scope:
- Technical knowledge: Familiarity with construction materials and equipment, etc.
- Procurement Planning: Analyzing material requirements (architectural materials, steel, finishing items, etc) in collaboration with Project Managers/ Designers/ Production Manager
- Supplier Management: Selecting, negotiating with, and managing suppliers to secure the best prices and quality.
- Cost Control: Monitoring expenditures against budgets,, identifying savings opportunities through,and implementing, bulk purchasing strategies.
- Logistics Coordination: Tracking deliveries to ensure timely arrival at construction sites, preventing work stoppages,and managing inventory.
- Contractual Compliance: Ensuring all purchases meet project specifications, safety standards, and company purchasing policies.
- Documentation Management: Issuing purchase orders (POs), verifying invoices, and maintaining records.
- Delivery Timeliness: Ensuring items are available on-site according to the project schedule.
- Cost Savings: Lowering project expenses without compromising quality.
- Inventory Accuracy: Minimizing material shortages or excessive wastage.
Able to work independently and knowledge to use Info-Tech Accounting software.
(Training will be provided if no prior knowledge of the Accounting software). 2 years of experience in the above field is considerable.
