We are seeking a proactive Public Relations Officer (PRO) to manage public relations, stakeholder engagement, and outreach activities. The role involves maintaining strong community relations, handling public feedback, and ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Experience with LTA and PUB requirements is preferred.
Plan, coordinate, and execute public outreach and engagement programmes, including submission for approval within one month of contract award
Communicate project scope, timelines, schedules, and potential impacts (e.g. noise, dust, traffic, odour) to stakeholders
Organise and lead engagement sessions, briefings, and awareness programmes with stakeholders such as property owners, town councils, schools, and community groups
Manage public feedback and complaints (e.g. environmental impact, safety, site conditions), ensuring timely resolution with project teams
Prepare and distribute publicity materials (notices, pamphlets, posters) with necessary approvals, at least two weeks prior to work commencement
Conduct regular site visits and stakeholder interactions to gather feedback and provide updates
Maintain proper documentation (meeting minutes, feedback logs, distribution records) and submit periodic reports to the Superintending Officer (S.O.) and Employer
Liaise with Community Partnership Network (CPN) and Corporate Communications Group (CCG) on PR and media matters
Support multimedia presentations and ensure effective communication delivery
Be available for urgent public relations matters outside working hours when required
Minimum 5 years of experience in public relations, communications, or stakeholder engagement
Diploma or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in handling public feedback and community engagement preferred
Familiarity with multimedia tools is an advantage
Willingness to complete relevant communication training within the first six months
Subject to approval by Superintending Officer (S.O.) and Employer
Role duration: Project commencement to Substantial Completion
Candidate should be responsive, resourceful, and able to manage sensitive situations
