Salt Talent Search is looking for a Public Policy Manager for 12 months contract role.
What Will You Do:
- Help craft and implement content policies that take into consideration the needs of a global community.
- Collaborate with Policy, Product, Operations, Communications, and external stakeholders to drive policy improvements.
- Act as a global escalation point of contact, staff on-call shifts and manage internal communications for policy issues.
- Help articulate policy philosophy, launches and changes to relevant parties, including management, operations, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Build relationships with and understand the perspectives of partners on internal teams, such as Public Policy, Communications, Operations, Product, and Legal.
- This role may involve exposure to potentially graphic and/or objectionable content such as explicit images, videos, audio, and writings, offensive or derogatory language, self-injury, animal abuse, and other content that may be considered offensive or disturbing.
What Will You Need:
- 8+ years experience in policy, government, project management, law, or operations
- Demonstrated analytical-thinking and problem-solving experience
- Experience communicating cross-functionally, particularly in the area of consensus-building and persuasion
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work with potentially graphic and objectionable content
- Law degree, MBA, MPP, or other advanced degree
- Experience in or with the technology industry
