We are looking for a proactive, strategic, and hands-on professional to join our Brand Management Team. About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Public Affairs Specialist to support Realtek's talent development, workforce cultivation, and ecosystem engagement initiatives in Singapore.
The role will be responsible for building and strengthening relationships with universities, research institutions, industry partners, and relevant government stakeholders to advance Realtek's talent pipeline and industry-academia engagement. The successful candidate will develop and execute programmes that position Realtek as an employer and technology partner of choice, while creating meaningful opportunities for students, researchers, and industry stakeholders to engage with Realtek.
This role requires strong stakeholder management, programme development, communication, and event management capabilities, together with a good understanding of Singapore's higher education, talent, innovation, and workforce development landscape.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Talent Development & Workforce Cultivation
- Develop and execute initiatives that strengthen Realtek's long-term talent pipeline and workforce development efforts in Singapore.
- Lead university outreach and engagement programmes to attract high-potential students, graduates, and emerging technology talent.
- Build relationships with universities, faculties, career offices, student organisations, and relevant academic stakeholders to identify and develop talent engagement opportunities.
- Partner closely with Human Resources to leverage internships, graduate programmes, career talks, campus engagement, and other initiatives as platforms for meaningful industry exposure and early talent engagement.
- Develop programmes such as university talks, technology workshops, student competitions, career events, scholarships, mentorship programmes, and industry immersion opportunities.
- Identify emerging talent trends and workforce needs relevant to the technology and semiconductor sectors, and translate these insights into actionable talent initiatives.
- Track programme participation, talent conversion, stakeholder feedback, and other relevant metrics, and recommend improvements to enhance effectiveness and impact.
Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Engagement
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key academic partners, including universities, polytechnics, research institutes, and other educational institutions.
- Identify opportunities for industry-academia collaboration across talent development, research, innovation, technology, and knowledge exchange.
- Cultivate relationships with research centres, innovation platforms, technology ecosystems, and other relevant institutions to explore joint programmes and collaboration opportunities.
- Support the development and execution of collaborative initiatives, including research engagement, technology programmes, knowledge-sharing sessions, and industry-academia projects.
- Monitor Singapore's evolving education, workforce, innovation, and technology ecosystem to identify opportunities relevant to Realtek's strategic priorities.
- Support Realtek's participation in relevant government-led initiatives, workforce development programmes, industry platforms, and public-private partnerships.
- Build constructive relationships with relevant government agencies, industry associations, and ecosystem stakeholders to enhance Realtek's visibility and participation in Singapore's talent and technology ecosystem.
Events, Forums and Executive Engagement
- Plan and organise executive networking events, industry forums and seminars, conferences, university engagements and fireside chats.
- Coordinate senior-level engagements with university leaders, government representatives, industry executives and other strategic stakeholders.
- Develop event concepts, speaker programmes, briefing documents and post-event engagement plans.
- Ensure events and engagements deliver measurement outcomes, including relationship building, talent attraction and thought leaderships.
- Identify opportunities for Realtek executives and subject-matter experts to participate in relevant external forums and industry platforms.
Public Relations & Corporate Communications
- Support Realtek's public affairs and stakeholder engagement agenda in Singapore, with a focus on talent, education, technology and workforce development.
- Develop stakeholder engagement strategies and programmes that strengthen Realtek's profile and reputation among key external audiences.
- Prepare briefing materials, presentations, talking points, programme proposals, and stakeholder communications for internal and external engagements.
- Monitor developments in Singapore's education, workforce, technology, and semiconductor landscape and provide relevant insights to management.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with Human Resources, business units, and regional/global teams to ensure alignment of external engagement activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Public Affairs, Communications, Business, Human Resources, Public Policy, International Relations, or a related discipline.
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in public affairs, government relations, corporate affairs, talent development, university relations, stakeholder engagement, or partnership development.
- Experience working with Singapore universities, research institutions, government agencies, or industry associations is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of Singapore's higher education, talent development, workforce, innovation, and technology ecosystem.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage relationships with senior stakeholders across academia, government, industry, and corporate organisations.
- Strong programme and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong event management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Commercially minded, proactive, and able to identify opportunities that create strategic value for the organisation.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions and with regional/global teams.
- Experience in the technology or semiconductor industry would be an advantage.
- Working knowledge of content creation tools such as CAPCUT PRO, CANVA PRO. Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite (hands on expertise is not required).
