Job Description
Community Psychology Hub is looking for a committed and compassionate psychologist to provide quality psychological care to clients and families in the community. In this role, you will contribute to meaningful work that supports families, strengthens evidence-informed practice, and improves outcomes for children, parents, caregivers and stakeholders. Depending on your area of focus, you may provide specialised services to families referred by the courts under the Strengthening Families Programme (FAM) or conduct assessments that support decision-making in child custody proceedings.
Responsibilities
Conduct psychological assessments, including interviews, observations, standardised testing and report preparation under supervision.
Provide psychological inputs, professional opinions and case formulation support in collaboration with case workers, counsellors and other professionals.
Deliver evidence-informed interventions, which may include family therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, therapeutic group work and psychoeducation.
Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and community partners to support families, caregivers and stakeholders.
Prepare case notes, psychological intervention reports, court-related reports and other required documentation in a timely and professional manner.
Contribute to training, consultation, programme evaluation, practice improvement and research initiatives within the social service sector.
Continue developing professional competencies through supervision, training, reading and evidence-informed practice.
Requirements
1. Educational qualifications
Master's degree in applied psychology, such as Clinical Psychology or Forensic Psychology, from an accredited university.
Eligibility for Singapore Psychological Society full membership and Singapore Register of Psychologists registration.
2. Work experience
Experience in clinical settings and/or with social service agencies will be an advantage.
3. Other qualities
Strong interpersonal skills, sound report writing ability and the confidence to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
Fluency in local languages and familiarity with the local context will be an advantage.
