Job Description

The Opportunity

  • Adecco is partnering with a public sector organisation (uniformed service) to support psychological research, assessment, and victim support initiatives.
  • We are looking for a Contract Psychologist (Crime Psychology) to support psychological research and assessment work focused on scam victims and victim support programmes. The role will contribute to evidence-based approaches to crime prevention and victim support, particularly in addressing the growing challenges posed by scams targeting vulnerable populations.
  • Work Location: Central Singapore

The Talent

  • Degree in Psychology or other relevant fields
  • Work experience in psychology or related behavioural sciences would be advantageous, particularly in applied forensic work, victim support, or related fields
  • Experience in research settings and project management
  • Strong understanding of statistics and proficiency in statistical software
  • Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work with sensitive populations and handle confidential information professionally
  • Understanding of trauma-informed approaches would be advantageous
  • Familiarity with uniformed services, policing, or public sector environments would be an advantage

Job Description

  • Support the conceptualisation and review of scam assessment programmes, including determining programme scope and parameters
  • Develop entry and exit criteria for scam support programmes and conceptualise outcome evaluation frameworks
  • Review and develop evaluation data collection tools, including semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, and databases
  • Conduct data transcription, cleaning, and analysis across qualitative and quantitative datasets
  • Prepare technical reports for internal circulation to support victim care and evidence-based approaches
  • Develop academic reports for potential journal publication
  • Create presentation materials for training, seminars, conferences, and other professional engagements
  • Support the implementation of trauma-informed practices, particularly in the area of victimology
  • Conduct training and assessment work for various courses
  • Support psychological research and assessment initiatives within the Crime Psychology function
  • Contribute to projects aimed at strengthening approaches to scam prevention and victim support
  • Support operational and departmental functions as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
