Role overview

We're looking for a senior proposal professional with strong technical and commercial experience in water and wastewater treatment ideally with exposure to industrial wastewater, desalination, and ZLD projects.You'll lead proposal development across APAC, with a particular emphasis on Southeast Asia, driving the full bid process from RFQ to submission. The role demands both technical depth and commercial sharpness someone who can shape a winning strategy as much as write a solid proposal.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of techno-commercial proposals for industrial water and wastewater projects, including desalination and ZLD systems.
  • Interpret RFQs, tenders, and customer specifications; define the proposal strategy, scope, and competitive positioning.
  • Coordinate across engineering, project management, procurement, and finance to deliver complete, compliant bids on time.
  • Prepare cost estimates, technical write-ups, schedules, and risk assessments.
  • Participate in bid clarifications, client presentations, and negotiations when required.
  • Maintain and refine pricing tools, templates, and cost databases to improve consistency and turnaround time.
  • Support regional business development with market intelligence and bid/no-bid inputs.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 10+ years of experience in the water industry preferably in EPC, OEM, or technology-driven companies.
  • Exposure to membrane, thermal, or hybrid treatment systems.
  • Demonstrated success developing proposals for industrial wastewater, ZLD, and desalination projects.
  • Strong technical foundation in process design and cost estimation.
  • Familiar with Southeast Asia's industrial and regulatory landscape, and comfortable navigating diverse markets.Excellent communication, coordination, and commercial acumen.
  • Hands-on experience in key Southeast Asian markets (e.g. Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines)
