Job Summary
You will lead the design, installation, testing, commissioning, and support of communication and IT network systems, ensuring customer requirements are met. Collaborate in presales, project deployment, and provide technical training and support to deliver high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
- Implement design, installation, testing, commissioning, and support of communication and IT network systems to meet customer requirements
- Participate in presales activities and assist in developing sales proposals to support business growth
- Conduct proof of concept demonstrations with customers to validate solutions
- Plan and execute project deployments including site surveys, installation, testing, commissioning, user acceptance testing, and project closure
- Deliver administrative training to customers on system operation and maintenance for effective usage
- Provide first-level technical support to resolve communication and IT network system issues promptly
- Develop and follow escalation action plans proactively until issues are resolved
- Create and maintain site-specific network and system configuration documentation for post-implementation support
- Liaise with principals and vendors for technical assistance and solution support
- Coordinate scheduling and collaborate with racking or system integration teams as needed
- Perform work at heights and in confined spaces safely when required
- Work outside regular hours, including after office hours, weekends, and public holidays, to meet operational demands
- Serve on standby duty to attend to customer sites during and after office hours, weekends, and public holidays
- Work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment
- Manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines
- Apply strong organizational and project management skills to ensure successful project delivery
- Communicate clearly and professionally in written and verbal forms to support team and customer interactions
- Adhere strictly to health and safety policies and maintain the highest quality workmanship standards
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related engineering fields
- Networking certifications are advantageous but not mandatory
- Experience or knowledge in IT infrastructure implementation and maintenance
- Familiarity with structured cabling systems is a plus
- Experience in project management and supplier/contractor coordination is beneficial
- Proficiency in business writing and use of MS Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Knowledge of single line diagrams, floor plan drawings, and software tools like AutoCAD or MicroStation is advantageous
