Position Overview

You will lead the end-to-end subcontracting process for a portfolio of execution-phase scopes on an FPSO or offshore energy project. In your first year, you will be responsible for developing subcontract strategies, managing tendering and contract administration activities, and ensuring commercial outcomes support project delivery, schedule, and cost objectives.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

• Lead subcontracting activities for assigned project execution scopes from tender preparation through subcontract close-out
• Develop subcontract strategies and execution plans aligned with project schedule and delivery requirements
• Prepare and issue invitation-to-tender packages, including scope, commercial requirements, milestones, HSSE requirements, and contract terms
• Lead technical and commercial tender evaluations and prepare award recommendations for project approvals
• Administer awarded subcontracts, including correspondence, variations, claims, payments, and performance reviews
• Manage commercial risks, subcontractor performance, and schedule impacts across assigned subcontract packages
• Lead negotiations on variations, extension of time requests, and commercial claims within delegated authority
• Coordinate with engineering, project controls, delivery, commissioning, finance, and other project disciplines to ensure effective subcontract execution
  
  

Qualifications

You will need:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, Commerce, Business Administration, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building Management, or a related discipline
• At least 10 years of experience in subcontracting, contracts management, or commercial management within oil and gas, offshore, or energy projects
• Proven experience administering complex, high-value subcontracts through the full project execution lifecycle
• Experience leading tender processes and contract awards for major project execution scopes
• Strong knowledge of contract law and offshore contracting models, including LOGIC, FIDIC, NEC, and bespoke offshore contract forms
• Demonstrated ability to lead commercial negotiations, manage subcontract risks, and work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
  
  

Nice To Have

• Master's degree in a relevant discipline
• Professional certification such as CIPS, RICS, or equivalent
• Experience supervising or managing subcontracting professionals on capital projects
• FPSO project experience
• Experience managing subcontract variations, claims, and time extension assessments during construction and commissioning
• Knowledge of earned value management, cost control, project controls, and subcontract performance measurement
• Experience with ERP and contract management systems such as IFS, SAP, Ariba, or Oracle
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 for schedule review and time extension assessments.
