Job Summary:

As a Project Site Engineer specialising in ACMV systems, you will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical systems are installed, tested and commissioned to the highest standards, whilst maintaining strict adherence to project schedules, safety regulations and quality benchmarks. This is a hands-on role that bridges the gap between design and execution, making you integral to the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the installation of air conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems on site, ensuring compliance with design specifications and engineering standards
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to monitor progress and identify any deviations from planned installation procedures
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors and the design team to resolve technical issues and implement corrective measures promptly
• Manage project documentation including site reports, inspection logs, test certificates and commissioning records
• Oversee the testing and commissioning of ACMV systems to verify performance and functionality before handover
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and site safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety amongst all site personnel
• Coordinate with other trades and project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other building services
• Prepare progress reports and communicate project status to senior management and clients
• Maintain accurate records of materials, equipment and labour costs related to ACMV works
• Support project planning and scheduling to ensure timely completion of mechanical engineering works

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of site engineering experience in ACMV systems installation and commissioning
• Strong knowledge of air conditioning, mechanical ventilation systems, ductwork design and installation practices
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience with project management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively amongst diverse teams
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Professional certification such as PEC registration or other recognised engineering qualifications is advantageous
