Job Summary
The Project & System Engineer for Hospital Automation is responsible for planning, implementing, integrating, and supporting technology solutions that enhance hospital operational efficiency and patient safety. This role works closely with Internal T&C and IT team, subcon /vendors and client to deliver automation systems such as robotics, pneumatic tube systems, automated guided vehicle and In-patient pharmacy systems and integration with Hospital Information Systems (HIS/EHR)
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills to provide high-quality service and support to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Lead end-to-end project delivery for hospital automation initiatives (planning, design, procurement, implementation, testing, commissioning)
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and documentation
- Manage vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful, timely delivery
- Conduct site surveys, workflow studies, and feasibility assessments for new automation technologies.
System Engineering & Technical Delivery
- Design system architecture and technical specifications for automation systems (e.g., robotics, AGVs, PTS and IPAS solution).
- Perform system integration with HIS/EHR, middleware, and hospital network infrastructure
- Configure, test, and validate automation hardware and software components.
- Ensure cybersecurity compliance and alignment with hospital IT standards.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and coordinate resolution with vendors.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field
- 2-3 years of experience in project management and system engineering (preferably in automation or healthcare technology)
- Experience with integration protocols (HL7, FHIR, DICOM, REST APIs) is an advantage.
- Familiar with networked systems, IoT, automation, and enterprise IT environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, robotics, or automation systems is an advantage.
- Preferably experience in healthcare, automation, or pharmaceutical technology.
- Certifications in relevant technical courses or safety training.
