Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Server & Network Engineer to manage and strengthen the infrastructure supporting our Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Ground Control Systems.
This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of mission-critical systems used in UAV operations, including managing virtualized environments, operating systems, and secure networks with a focus on automation and system resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain UAV Ground Control System infrastructure.
- Manage and optimize virtualized environments (VMware) and operating systems (Windows and Linux).
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and security across mission-critical environments.
- Configure and maintain networking components, including switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Implement automation and monitoring solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience in:
VMware hypervisor setup and management
Microsoft OS administration (AD, DNS, GPO)
Linux systems administration
Networking (CCNA level) - configuration of switches, L2/L3 protocols
FortiGate Firewalls - configuration, VPN, and threat protection
Good to Have:
- Experience with automation tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform)
- Knowledge of storage technologies and iSCSI protocol
- Familiarity with Docker and containerization
- Understanding of PKI maintenance
- Experience with IP Multicast protocols (PIM, IGMP)
- Exposure to network management systems
