Position Overview
The Project Scheduler / Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and governing
integrated project schedules across multiple workstreams. The role ensures that schedules are
robust, logically linked, and aligned with project objectives, enabling effective coordination, visibility, and delivery across functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain end-to-end project schedules covering multiple workstreams and functional teams.
- Establish and maintain logical sequencing and dependencies between activities.
- Maintain schedule baselines and support scenario planning and re-sequencing as projects evolve.
- Identify, document, and manage prerequisites and interdependencies across project activities.
- Ensure that schedules reflect realistic sequencing and readiness requirements.
- Proactively identify logical gaps, conflicts, or risks within the schedule and highlight them to project stakeholders.
- Work closely with project managers and functional leads to gather inputs on scope, durations, and dependencies.
- Consolidate individual workstream schedules into a single, integrated master schedule.
- Support alignment between project plans and operational or organizational constraints.
- Track progress against the baseline schedule and identify critical path and high-risk activities.
- Prepare and present schedule status updates, look-ahead plans, and impact assessments.
- Support recovery planning and schedule optimisation when deviations occur.
- Support schedule governance and change management, ensuring updates are assessed for downstream impact before implementation.
- Maintain schedule quality, consistency, and integrity.
- Provide clear, traceable schedules for management reviews and decision-making.
- Develop and manage schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
- Support integration with broader project management and reporting tools as required.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline.
- 36+ years of experience in project scheduling, planning, or project controls.
- Experience supporting multi-workstream or complex projects in regulated or structured environments is an advantage.
- Exposure to system implementation or operational projects is beneficial.
