Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Project Planning Engineer to support the planning and scheduling of civil infrastructure projects, with a focus on underground structure works. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in project programme management and able to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive construction plans and project programmes for underground structure projects, ensuring efficient execution and on-time delivery
Coordinate all planning activities for major civil infrastructure projects, aligning project schedules with key milestones and the requirements of relevant stakeholders
Utilise Primavera P6 and MS Project to develop, update, and monitor project schedules, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation measures to maintain progress
Plan and coordinate complex traffic management and utility diversion works, ensuring minimal disruption to the public and full compliance with regulatory and authority requirements
Maintain sustained commitment and active involvement in assigned projects from inception through to successful completion, ensuring continuity and accountability throughout
Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from a recognised institution
Relevant experience in project planning and scheduling within the civil infrastructure or construction industry
Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project for scheduling and programme management
Competent in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Sound understanding of construction methodologies for underground structures and civil infrastructure works
Familiar with LTA requirements, traffic management planning, and utility diversion coordination
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address planning risks proactively
Good communication and coordination skills to liaise effectively with project teams, consultants, and regulatory authorities
Committed to seeing projects through to completion with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment
