Project Planner

Job Scope & Responsibilities:

. Schedule Development: Build master programs, baseline schedules, and working-level timelines using project management software like Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.

. Work Breakdown Structure (WBS): Break large-scale developments down into logical phases, sub-schedules, and manageable task sequences.

. Critical Path Analysis: Apply the Critical Path Method (CPM) to map dependent tasks, determine minimum completion times, and track float.

. Resource & Cost Planning: Collaborate with estimators and quantity surveyors to calculate labor, crew sizes, raw materials, and equipment needs.

. Tender & Bid Support: Assist business development and bidding teams by drafting preliminary construction programs for tenders.

Key Responsibilities

. Progress Tracking & Monitoring: Collect daily or weekly site progress reports to update schedules and measure actual output against baselines.

. Delay & Risk Management: Identify potential bottlenecks, analyze root causes of delays, and propose recovery options or resequencing strategies.

. Change Management: Incorporate approved design changes, variation orders, and timeline adjustments into the master program.

. Reporting & Forecasting: Produce progress dashboards, S-curves, labor histograms, and look-ahead schedules for clients and project leadership.

Essential Tools & Skills

. Software: Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint.

. Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of C&S construction methods & sequencing
