Job Summary
Lead and coordinate ACMV project planning, technical oversight, budgeting, site management, quality and safety assurance, testing, commissioning, and documentation to deliver efficient, compliant HVAC systems that meet client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project schedules, work plans, and allocate resources to meet project timelines
- Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment
- Review ACMV designs, drawings, and specifications to verify compliance with standards
- Ensure ACMV systems (chillers, ducting, ventilation, etc.) are installed according to design and regulatory standards
- Resolve technical issues on-site promptly to maintain project progress
- Monitor and enforce compliance with local codes and regulations throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepare and manage project budgets, tracking expenses to ensure cost efficiency
- Handle variation orders and claims to maintain financial control
- Supervise site progress, conducting inspections and progress meetings to ensure timely completion
- Ensure availability of proper manpower and materials to support site activities
- Enforce workplace safety practices, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation measures to maintain a safe work environment
- Oversee system testing, balancing, and commissioning to ensure operational efficiency and performance requirements are met
- Coordinate handover documentation and provide client training for system operation
- Prepare progress reports, project updates, and maintain comprehensive records of drawings, contracts, and correspondence
- Liaise with stakeholders regularly to provide updates and address concerns
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience in ACMV / HVAC project management
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, codes, and standards
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with project management tools and software
