The Role (6 months contract, extendable depending on project outcomes)
Join a dynamic innovation team based in Singapore to lead and execute sustainable innovation projects that align with strategic business goals. This role plays a key part in driving sustainable development and fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement across the organization.
Project Portfolio Management
Lead up to four innovation projects simultaneously, including:
- Incubation Phase Projects: Designing circular economy solutions using design thinking methodologies. Structuring carbon credit mechanisms for customers.
- Acceleration Phase Projects: Developing and validating a new HVAC solution. Delivering a proof of concept for a circular economy loop in the railway sector.
Project Management
- Oversee project timelines, resources, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure alignment and progress.
- Provide regular updates and insights to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Maintain clear and effective communication across all project participants.
Project Execution
Carry out key project activities, including:
- Customer Desirability Assessment: Conduct market research, customer interviews, and trend analysis. Identify and engage potential partners. Initiate collaborative agreements.
- Technical Feasibility: Facilitate design thinking workshops. Analyze regulatory frameworks (e.g., carbon finance, waste management). Collect and analyze data perform preliminary calculations. Oversee lab testing and MVP development activities.
- Market Accessibility: Conduct financial analyses and develop business plans. Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and final outcomes. Define and document the next phase of innovation when applicable, including scope, objectives, planning, and budget.
Deliverables
- Updated project dashboards (planning, budget, deliverables, risk tracking) via collaborative tools.
- Regular task tracking and progress updates.
- Project-specific documentation and outputs.
- Presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in innovation project management.
- Proficiency with innovation frameworks and tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience as an intrapreneur is highly valued.
- Background in sustainability or railway-related projects is a plus.
