Job Summary

Oversees offshore survey projects from planning to delivery, ensuring HSEQ compliance, technical accuracy, and industry standards. Provides technical guidance to teams and field staff, manages equipment, personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers, and leads client meetings. Develops proposals, procedures, and reports, while controlling costs and supporting large-scale project budgets.

Responsibilities

Project management and operations

  • Enforce company HSEQ policies and requirements consistently across all project activities to ensure safety and compliance
  • Deliver technical support and advice to regional and global business units to enhance project execution and outcomes
  • Collaborate with external clients and internal engineering and project planning teams to integrate surveying data into project plans and designs, ensuring alignment with technical requirements
  • Write clear, comprehensive technical proposals and procedures to support project acquisition and execution
  • Prepare and review project documentation including procedures, reports, risk assessments, and data deliverables to maintain quality and compliance
  • Manage operational project teams and resources, including equipment and personnel, to achieve efficient and timely project completion
  • Lead project meetings with clients, facilitating operational and commercial discussions to drive project progress and stakeholder alignment
  • Oversee surveying activities throughout projects, ensuring data accuracy and adherence to industry standards and client specifications
  • Provide technical support to field staff both remotely and on-site to resolve operational challenges promptly
  • Monitor and manage subcontractor and supplier performance to ensure delivery quality and contractual compliance

Commercial

  • Provide expert recommendations on survey services to support accurate project budget development and cost control
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs and proposing tailored solutions to meet project objectives
  • Track and control project costs effectively for projects exceeding USD 3 million to ensure financial targets are met

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years offshore experience in the offshore survey industry, including at least 2 years in an onshore management role
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills to facilitate clear stakeholder engagement
  • Demonstrated mentoring, leadership, and relationship-building skills to develop teams and foster collaboration
  • Proven ability to work effectively within both office-based and remote team environments
  • Proficient in using technology and business analysis tools to support project planning and reporting
  • Skilled in reviewing and analyzing data to produce clear, actionable reports for clients, stakeholders, and internal decision-making
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy to ensure quality deliverables
