Key accountabilities:
. Manage project lifecycle, from requirement, design, technical construction, testing, acceptance, training, documentation and implementation, in accordance with the GE's Project Management Process and Methodology.
. Participate in pre-project activities such as estimation of project efforts, preparation of high level project plan with project timeline and resource requirements, and staffing and organization of project team.
. Plan, coordinate and communicate project plan, timeline and activities to the project team.
. Monitor and track progress of projects and stay on top of the projects to ensure smooth execution.
. Manage and coordinate project deliverables, ensuring their quality and configuration management.
. Coordinate closely with external vendors and business units to ensure timely delivery and alignment with contractual commitments.
. Facilitate technical discussions, and implementation checkpoints in collaboration with IT architecture, operations, security, and compliance teams.
. Analyse and highlight project risks and develop necessary risk mitigation plans.
. Analyse and highlight project dependencies to pre-empt project issues.
. Support UAT coordination, production readiness assessments, cutover planning, and postimplementation verification activities.
. Provide regular project status updates, dashboards, and reports to project sponsors and the Program/Project Steering Committee (PSC).
. Escalate issues and risks that cannot be resolved at the project team level in a timely and structured manner.
. Promote best practices in project delivery, risk management, and vendor coordination across the initiative portfolio.
. Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
. Ensure projects comply with enterprise governance, regulatory, security, and resiliency requirements, including DR, backup, and audit readiness.
. Manage project resources and task allocation, ensuring optimal utilization and clear ownership across teams.
. Drive postgolive stabilization, lessons learned, and handover to operations and support teams.
Our Requirements
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent with 10+ years of experience in Project Management.
. 10+ years of overall IT project management experience, with proven delivery of complex, multistream initiatives across infrastructure, data, and analytics platforms.
. Strong understanding of enterprise project management frameworks (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) and familiarity with ITIL or IT Service Management (ITSM) practices.
. Experience managing projects involving big data platforms, analytics tools, cloud environments, disaster recovery, and security/compliance initiatives.
. Prior experience in the Insurance or Financial Services industry is a strong plus.
. Demonstrated capability in vendor management, including coordinating with system integrators, product vendors, and augmented resources.
. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) for project reporting, steering committee updates, and documentation.
. Experience using Agile and project tracking tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
. Strong ability to manage project schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent initiatives.
. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical teams, business users, and senior leadership.
. Strong problemsolving, analytical, and decisionmaking skills, with a focus on delivery quality and timelines.
. Ability to work independently while also leading crossfunctional teams in a matrixed enterprise environment.
. Working knowledge of Cloudera Big Data Platform, AWS Cloud, Dataiku, and Protegrity Platforms is a strong advantage.
