We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading global defence & technology group with operations spanning more than 100 countries. Their Unmanned & Integrated Systems business is at the forefront of maritime robotics, autonomous platforms, and complex systems integration, serving defence, public safety, and commercial clients worldwide.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to scope and staying within budget. This individual will collaborate with both external and internal stakeholders, coordinate cross-functional teams, optimize resource management, and oversee project progress. The successful candidate will also ensure compliance with contractual obligations, security protocols, regulatory requirements and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
. Successful execution and completion of engineering projects.
. Develop comprehensive project plans that outline project goals, scope, timelines, resources and budget.
. Monitor and control project performance, ensuring project milestones are met within specified schedules, in compliance with contractual obligations and relevant regulatory requirements while proactively addressing any risks or issues.
. Manage project budgets, including tracking costs and ensuring completion of project within budget.
. Leading and collaborating with customers, their consultants, OEM partners, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors throughout all project stages, including conceptualization, design, engineering, contract documentation, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and project delivery. This also includes oversight during the In-Service and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) phases.
. Strong attention to detail and commitment to ensuring that all project documentation is of the highest professional standards, accurate, and free of errors.
Requirements:
. Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
. Minimum 2 years of project management experience preferably with underwater technologies, focusing on robotics, communications, and sensors.
. Proven track record in managing engineering projects from initiation to completion.
. Must be able to clear CAT1 security clearance.
. Strong ability to collaborate effectively with professionals across diverse engineering disciplines.
. A proactive team player with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership, capable of independently driving tasks and multi-tasking functions.
. Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
. Conversant in all aspects of project management, certification in PMP and AGILE would be advantageous
