We are looking for an experienced
Project Manager to lead the
evaluation and RFP phase for a strategic
SAP ECC 6 replacement initiative. The role will focus on driving structured assessment, stakeholder alignment, vendor evaluation, and project governance to support platform replacement decision-making. This is initially for the
RFP / selection phase, with strong potential to continue into the
implementation and execution phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end RFP and evaluation phase for SAP ECC 6 replacement initiative.
- Work closely with business, finance, operations, technology, and enterprise architecture teams to define scope, requirements, and evaluation criteria.
- Coordinate current-state assessment of existing SAP ECC 6 landscape, integrations, business processes, and pain points.
- Manage preparation of RFP documents, vendor briefing sessions, clarifications, and proposal evaluations.
- Drive comparison of target solutions including SAP S/4HANA and/or other relevant ERP platforms based on business fit, cost, risk, and implementation feasibility.
- Establish project governance, timeline, RAID logs, stakeholder communication, and decision-making framework.
- Facilitate workshops with internal stakeholders and external vendors / system integrators.
- Consolidate findings into executive-level recommendations, business case inputs, and implementation roadmap.
- Ensure alignment across business and IT teams on replacement strategy, delivery approach, and transition considerations.
- Support leadership in planning for downstream execution, resource requirements, and implementation readiness.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Project Manager / Program Manager in ERP transformation, SAP modernization, or large-scale enterprise system replacement projects.
- Strong understanding of SAP ECC 6, ERP ecosystem, business process dependencies, and transformation challenges.
- Experience managing RFP, vendor selection, due diligence, and solution evaluation phases.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA migration / transformation programs is highly preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to engage senior business and technology leaders.
- Experience in project governance, budgeting, planning, risk management, and executive reporting.
- Ability to translate business needs into structured evaluation and delivery frameworks.
- Prior experience in finance, supply chain, procurement, or enterprise operations domains will be advantageous.
Preferred Profile
- Experience working in complex enterprise environments with multiple business units and legacy integrations.
- Exposure to ERP implementation lifecycle from strategy through execution.
- PMP / Prince2 / Agile or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
