Project Manager (PUB Substation Project, A1 main contractor)
Our client is a leading A1 Main Contractor in Singapore's building sector, renowned for delivering institutional, industrial, and commercial developments of significant scale and complexity. With an impressive project track record and strong industry reputation, the organisation is expanding its management bench to support a new substation project in Woodlands.
We are seeking an accomplished Project Manager with deep experience in complex infrastructure or utilities projects to lead this high impact development.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead the full project lifecycle of a substation development, ensuring alignment with regulatory, technical, quality, and contractual standards.
- Develop, implement, and track the master schedule to ensure timely progress and effective risk mitigation.
- Drive site coordination, engineering resolution, construction activities, and overall project execution.
Stakeholder & Regulatory Management
- Act as the main liaison with the client, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, and internal departments.
- Ensure compliance with statutory codes, design specifications, client requirements, and all relevant regulations.
- Resolve technical issues promptly to maintain project momentum.
Contract, Cost & Procurement Control
- Manage budgets, cost tracking, variation orders, and progress claims.
- Oversee procurement strategy, subcontractor negotiations, and contract administration.
- Prepare and evaluate project documentation, submissions, and regular reports.
Team & Site Management
- Lead and supervise a multi disciplinary team comprising engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Champion strong site productivity, quality standards, and workplace safety culture.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and direction to ensure high performance execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, approved qualification by Professional Engineers Board
- 5-10 years of project management experience in infrastructure, utilities, substations, or large scale public works.
- Solid exposure to PUB processes, electrical infrastructure projects, or substation related works is highly preferred.
- Proven leadership experience managing multi stakeholder, technically complex developments.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem solving skills.
