Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Project Manager with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of global projects, including WMS implementation and application projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing full project lifecycles, driving cross-functional collaboration, and successfully implementing WMS solutions, preferably with Infor WMS. This role requires strong leadership, communication, organizational, and technical skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global projects, including Warehouse Management System implementation projects, from initiation through successful deployment and closure.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and scope documentation using Microsoft Project.
- Manage project scope, timelines, resources, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate project meetings, steering committee reviews, status meetings, workshops, and stakeholder communications.
- Prepare and distribute weekly project status reports to leadership, sponsors, and stakeholders.
- Coordinate activities across business, operations, IT, vendors, and third-party implementation teams.
- Build strong relationships with business partners, sponsors, resource managers, and project team members.
- Manage matrixed project teams and ensure accountability across multiple functional areas.
- Drive issue resolution and risk mitigation activities to maintain project momentum and achieve project objectives.
- Ensure project deliverables meet business requirements and align with strategic objectives.
- Support testing, training, deployment planning, and post-implementation stabilization activities.
- Maintain project documentation and governance standards throughout project execution.
- Champion project management best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field; or
- 5 to 8 years of directly related experience; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading small to medium-sized application implementation projects or comparable project leadership experience.
- 2 to 3 years of Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementation experience.
- Experience with Infor WMS strongly preferred.
- Experience successfully leading at least one large-scale project from inception through implementation and closure.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in:
- Developing project plans using Microsoft Project
- Creating and presenting weekly project status reports
- Managing project scope, risks, issues, and dependencies
- Facilitating project and stakeholder meetings
- Leading matrixed project teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Data Warehouse, E-Business, Supply Chain, Distribution, or similar enterprise application environments.
- Experience working within cross-functional project teams in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or distribution organizations.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or similar certification is a plus.
- Experience working with software vendors, systems integrators, and third-party implementation partners.
