Job Summary
As a Project Manager, you will enable governance and execution of projects, monitor and improve processes, and support the storage/backup team by applying relevant tools, templates, and best practices within an Agile and DevOps framework.
Responsibilities
- Implement the Bank's program and project management frameworks and methodologies to ensure consistent delivery across the portfolio using appropriate tools, processes, and practices
- Collaborate with senior management to update and execute delivery plans, including setting up project information, budgets, resources, and deliverables
- Provide timely and relevant updates on project progress to maintain governance and ensure compliance with tollgates
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and monitor actuals against budget
- Facilitate key project planning activities such as Book of Work processes, providing process support, reporting, and reconciliation to Change the Bank (CTB) and RTB leads
- Deliver executive-level reporting on progress against cost, schedule, risks, issues, and benefits to meet stakeholder requirements
- Proactively identify and escalate key delivery risks and issues to the Program Manager, offering an independent assessment of project and program health
- Collaborate closely with the Bank's central PMO teams to ensure consistency in PMO standards and promote cross-business initiatives
- Adhere to established company processes including change management, incident management, and problem management
- Serve as Scrum Master as needed, supporting Agile delivery and adapting to hybrid project delivery models
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience working in a Technology PMO within a large Financial Institution or Bank
- Understanding of Investment Banking, particularly Global Markets
- Experience managing project financials and formulating resourcing strategies
- Experience handling IT-related audit and compliance issues
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience delivering projects in a project management capacity
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders and team members
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and technology program delivery methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to assess and mitigate program risks and dependencies
- Ability to work effectively in an international, matrixed organization with diverse senior stakeholders
- Organized and detail-oriented with flexibility to adapt to changing environments
