Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned projects, ensuring effective resource requisition for labor, materials, and equipment. Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance to maintain project quality. Manage project timelines, taking corrective actions to address any deviations from the schedule. Liaise with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities regarding project progress and approvals. Prepare and submit progress claims to support positive cash flow. Ensure successful project handover to clients upon completion. Address defect complaints during the Defects Liability Period (DLP). Assist in contract administration, including claims, variations, and final accounts. Provide cash flow projections to ensure project sustainability and compliance with budget. Optimize project profit margins through effective cost monitoring and management. Facilitate negotiations on variation orders with main contractors, consultants, and subcontractors. Review and verify monthly invoices from subcontractors and vendors. Support management in tracking project accounts receivable. Mentor and train new project staff. Assign and oversee project team members, including engineers and safety coordinators. Conduct regular project meetings to track progress and address issues. Ensure proper documentation and evaluation of all suppliers. Resolve customer complaints and warranty claims effectively. Maintain and update logs for non-conformance and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience. Proven ability to manage projects efficiently and effectively, adhering to timelines and budgets. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on stakeholder communication and satisfaction. Experience in project cash flow management and contractual negotiations.
