This role will focus on the successful migration of data from legacy server locations to Microsoft SharePoint and Teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex IT projects, driving cross-functional collaboration, and delivering results in dynamic, global environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of the data migration project from legacy servers to SharePoint/Teams.
- Develop a comprehensive project plan, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
- Coordinate with global stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, and external vendors.
- Manage risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and contingency plans to address project challenges.
- Ensure adherence to data governance policies, security protocols, and compliance standards.
- Monitor project progress, provide regular updates to senior leadership, and address roadblocks promptly.
- Facilitate effective change management to ensure user adoption and satisfaction with the new systems.
- Document and communicate lessons learned for future IT transformation projects.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- 7+ years of project management experience in IT, with a focus on global, multi-office initiatives.
- Proven experience in leading data migration projects involving Microsoft SharePoint and Teams.
- Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and security standards in a global environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools and architecture, including SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and align global stakeholders.
- Experience working in private equity, financial services, or similarly regulated industries is a plus.
