Senior Project Manager - Network Infrastructure (Construction Phase)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of network and IT infrastructure projects within a live construction environment.
This role will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end implementation of network infrastructure across new-build facilities, ensuring alignment between construction timelines, IT systems deployment, and operational readiness.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing infrastructure projects during construction phases (e.g. integrated resorts, data centres, large commercial buildings, airports, or similar large-scale developments).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage network infrastructure deployment across construction sites (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, security, structured cabling, data centre integration).
- Coordinate closely with construction teams, contractors, consultants, and system integrators to align IT rollout with building progress.
- Drive project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Oversee site readiness, installation sequencing, and commissioning activities.
- Manage structured cabling, MDF / IDF setup, and network equipment installation in coordination with building works.
- Ensure compliance with construction safety standards, regulatory requirements, and IT governance policies.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, especially those related to construction delays, dependencies, and vendor coordination.
- Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, vendors, and internal leadership, providing regular updates.
- Support testing, commissioning, and handover to operations teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8-12 years of experience in project management within IT infrastructure or network environments.
- Proven experience managing projects in construction or build-phase environments, such as: Integrated resorts / hospitality developments / Data centres / Large commercial or mixed-use developments / Airports / hospitals / smart buildings
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including: Enterprise LAN / WAN Wireless networks / Network security (firewalls, VPN) Structured cabling (Cat6, fibre, MDF/IDF)
- Experience working with main contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and complex dependencies in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- PMP / PRINCE2 certification.
- Experience in large-scale greenfield projects or new facility build-outs.
- Familiarity with BMS, smart building technologies, or AV/ELV systems.
- Background in system integrators or construction-related IT delivery.
