Project Manager
About the Role
My client are looking for a detailoriented Project Manager to support the successful delivery of complex equipment, facilities, and infrastructure projects. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring on-time delivery, cost control, and customer satisfaction by managing project schedules, analysing performance, and supporting cross-functional teams.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys turning technical inputs into clear, actionable plans while contributing to continuous improvement across project operations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning tools.
- Convert work breakdown structures (WBS) into fully resourced schedules and capacity charts.
- Perform critical path analysis, float calculations, and run what-if scenario plans.
- Integrate engineering, procurement, assembly, and testing activities into a master schedule.
Progress Monitoring & Control
- Track progress against baseline schedules, milestones, and key project deliverables.
- Identify delays, risks, and variances, and recommend mitigation or recovery actions.
- Produce dashboards and performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Project Management Support
- Assist with balancing schedules, resources, and budgets across multiple projects.
- Identify schedule-related risks and opportunities and support risk management activities.
- Support cost tracking and ensure alignment with project budgets.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across scheduling, resource, and cost management.
- Participate in change management processes, assessing schedule and cost impacts.
Stakeholder Communication
- Provide clear, timely updates to project teams, leadership, and customers.
- Facilitate project review meetings, presenting schedule and cost performance insights.
- Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, vendor relations, and testing.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- 35 years of experience in project planning and scheduling; at least 2 years in a project management support role.
- Experience with complex, technical projects in industries such as Energy, Oil & Gas, or Industrial sectors (preferred).
Certifications (Preferred)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
- Primavera P6 certification or demonstrated advanced proficiency.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, and other planning tools.
- Understanding of cost control principles and risk analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational capabilities and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Effective communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
