Project Manager (Marine Engines)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee marine engine repair, overhaul and upgrade projects. The successful candidate will manage project planning, resources, budgets and customer coordination to ensure work is delivered safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage marine engine servicing, overhaul, repair and retrofit projects from planning through to completion.

• Define project scope, schedules, manpower requirements and budgets.

• Coordinate with customers, vessel teams, service engineers, workshops and subcontractors.

• Review technical specifications, drawings and service requirements to establish suitable work plans.

• Monitor project progress, costs and quality, resolving technical and operational issues.

• Ensure spare parts, equipment and resources are available to meet project schedules.

• Manage changes in scope, additional work and associated commercial discussions.

• Ensure compliance with project safety requirements and internal procedures.

• Coordinate testing, commissioning, customer acceptance and project handover.

• Maintain project records and prepare progress reports and final documentation.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in marine engine servicing, repairs or project management.

• Strong technical knowledge of marine diesel engines, including 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines.

• Experience managing engine overhauls, repairs, troubleshooting and commissioning.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and service reports.

• Strong planning, budget management and customer coordination skills.

• Able to manage multiple projects and work effectively with technical teams.

• Must be willing to travel to the West of Singapore for work.

• Willing to attend vessels, shipyards and overseas project sites when required.
