Project Manager (Contract Basis l Malaysia)

Role Description:

We are looking for a full-time Project Manager on a contract basis to lead and manage design development and coordination for a major project in Malaysia.

This role will require excellent project and design management. Strong communication skills will be vital to for client relationship management and for collaborating with the interior design teams in Hachem Singapore and Hachem Australia.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of interior design experience in hospitality and hotels.
• Proficiency with CAD, InDesign and Sketch-up.
• Client Management skills are a must
• Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders
• Expertise in Space Planning, Interior Design, and FF&E selection
• Space Planning and Architecture skills
• Experience in creating Construction Drawings Proficiency in Interior Design and FF&E selection
• Strong attention to detail and ability to think creatively
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work well and lead a team
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field

Job Responsibilities:

1. Plan and oversea projects from the initial ideation through to completion.
2. Collaborate with the Principal to understand client briefs and define project scope, style, and requirements.
3. Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
4. Provide project leadership, set realistic timelines, and manage deliverables in collaboration with Directors, Associates, and the Interiors team to meet client deadlines.
5. Oversee the preparation of proposals and tender documents and manage the tendering process on behalf of clients.
6. Coordinate with engineers, designers, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.
7. Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
8. Complete weekly timesheets and be responsible for effective time management of staff

Senior Interior Designer (Full time l Singapore)

Role Description:

We are seeking a full-time Senior Interior Designer to involves space planning, creating construction drawings, designing interiors, and selecting and specifying furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).

The Senior Designers will collaborate with the team and clients to resolve practical challenges and bring flair to each project.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of interior design experience in hospitality and hotels.
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
• Proficiency with CAD, InDesign and Sketch-up.
• Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders
• Expertise in Space Planning, Interior Design, and FF&E selection
• Space Planning and Architecture skills
• Confident in client presentations with developers, hotel operators, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to guide junior team members and coordinate internal workflows.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Interpret programming established by Director and Client and enforce with team.
2. Assist, generate and guide compelling conceptual design narratives and concepts
3. Assist in space planning from town planning phases to final documentation submissions
4. Assist in managing and guiding client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination
5. Guide and mentor staff yet helping the team and provide a hands on approach when necessary to ensure project deadlines and Hachem design levels are met.
6. Provide project team coordination for the documentation, specifications, and material selections required for construction
