Job Description

  • Role: Project Manager III
  • Location: 100% Remote (Global)
  • Compensation: USD 7595 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support advanced research initiatives in augmented and virtual reality technologies. This role will focus on managing research and feature development programs within an interdisciplinary environment spanning audio signal processing, machine learning, perception science, and emerging immersive systems.

You will work alongside researchers, engineers, and technical specialists to drive structured execution across complex, fast-moving innovation projects.

This position requires onsite presence five days per week in Redmond, WA.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of research and feature development projects
  • Develop project timelines, milestones, and execution roadmaps
  • Coordinate cross-functional workflows to ensure timely completion

Risk & Stakeholder Management

  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks
  • Implement mitigation strategies to maintain schedule and quality targets
  • Communicate status updates, dependencies, and blockers to stakeholders

Research & Technical Collaboration

  • Partner with teams in audio signal processing, machine learning, and hearing sciences
  • Facilitate alignment across scientific and engineering stakeholders
  • Support coordination between research and applied development teams

Operational & Procurement Support

  • Oversee procurement of research equipment and vendor services
  • Ensure documentation accuracy and task tracking
  • Assist with operational and non-research initiatives as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of project management experience in research, hardware development, or product development environments
  • Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced technical environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting research teams or R&D programs
  • Familiarity with audio technologies, signal processing, or machine learning environments
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field (or equivalent experience)
