Project Manager

ICF is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead turnkey marine interior, refurbishment, repair and conversion projects for cruise ships, ferries, offshore vessels and other marine vessels. The role requires hands-on experience managing vessel projects from planning and mobilisation through onboard execution, testing, handover and project close-out.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, BOQ and contractual requirements with the Commercial and Design & Engineering teams.
• Develop and manage the Project Execution Plan (PEP), including schedules, budgets, manpower and resource requirements.
• Manage marine interior fit-out, refurbishment, repair and conversion projects from project award through final handover.
• Lead internal kick-off meetings, client meetings and project coordination meetings.
• Manage day-to-day project activities, onboard works, project teams, subcontractors and site-related issues.
• Coordinate manpower requirements with Operations and material requirements with SCM/vendors.
• Liaise with Design & Engineering on technical matters, drawings, site clashes and design requirements.
• Raise and manage TQRs, CRs and variation/additional works, ensuring proper documentation and commercial follow-up.
• Ensure projects comply with contractual requirements, HSE, quality standards, timelines and approved budgets.
• Liaise with shipowners, shipyards, clients, consultants and other project stakeholders where required.
• Review subcontractor/vendor progress claims and monitor project materials and consumables.
• Prepare and submit progress reports to management and clients.
• Coordinate QA/site inspections, ship inspections, FATs, testing and punch-list clearance where required.
• Maintain project records, completion photographs, as-built drawings, weight calculations and fire-load calculations.
• Ensure complete project handover and close-out documentation, including the Customer Satisfaction Form.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction/Project Management or a related technical discipline. Relevant marine project experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience in marine interior fit-out, ship repair, ship conversion, refurbishment or vessel upgrading projects.
• Experience managing turnkey marine interior/accommodation projects, preferably involving onboard, drydock, repair or conversion works.
• Good knowledge of marine interior works including cabins, public areas, F&B spaces, accommodation areas, joinery, ceilings, flooring, wall panels and associated MEP works.
• Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, budget and cost control, contract administration, progress claims and variation/additional works.
• Able to interpret GA drawings, construction/shop drawings, BOQ, specifications and as-built drawings.
• Strong experience coordinating Commercial, Design & Engineering, SCM/Procurement, Production, Operations, subcontractors, shipyards and clients.
• Proven leadership experience managing project teams, vendors and subcontractors, including multiple work fronts and tight vessel schedules.
• Familiar with TQRs, CRs, project documentation and commercial follow-up of additional works.
• Good understanding of HSE, QA/QC, SOLAS, IMO and applicable classification-society requirements for marine projects.
• Proficiency in MS Project or other project-management software.
