About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the full execution of an HDB project, ensuring all objectives related to progress, cost, quality, safety, health, and environmental performance are met. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage diverse stakeholders in a fastpaced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Oversee the full project lifecycle and ensure achievement of key objectives in progress, cost control, quality, safety, health, and environmental performance.
- Ensure timely and successful handover of the completed project to the client.
Quality, Process & Compliance
- Implement corrective and preventive actions related to products, processes, and systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, project specifications, and internal standards.
- Communicate key policies, risks, impacts, and required control measures to employees, subcontractors, and relevant stakeholders.
Team & Workforce Management
- Lead and manage project staff, providing direction and support to meet project requirements.
- Oversee and control the construction workforce to ensure smooth and efficient site operations.
Stakeholder, Client & Authority Coordination
- Liaise with clients, client representatives, and authorities, preparing professional correspondence where required.
- Manage technical coordination and design matters, including scope clarifications, variation orders (VOs), extensions of time (EOT), and related issues.
Subcontractor & Supplier Management
- Manage suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery, quality performance, and adherence to project requirements.
Reporting & Governance
- Provide periodic updates to Management on project progress, cost status, quality performance, and safety matters.
- Chair the Safety & Health Committee and Safety & Health Coordination Committee, participating in monthly and periodic meetings.
Requirements
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering (Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Electrical), Construction Management, Building Science or Quantity Surveying, recognised by relevant professional bodies/BCA.
- Minimum 10 years experience in building construction (preferably HDB projects), or 5 years experience in project management of building projects.
- SCAL CPAS accreditation at Tier A or AStar.
- Completed the following mandatory courses:
- Design for Safety Appreciation Course Registered Earthworks Supervisor Course
- Strong leadership and stakeholdermanagement skills, with experience managing consultants, authorities, subcontractors, and site teams.
- Proven ability to manage project progress, cost, quality, safety, health, and environmental performance.
- Prior HDB project experience is an advantage
