Project Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a Project Manager, Information Technology with a strong Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) mindset to lead the delivery of AI, automation, ERP, and custom software projects.

This is not a purely administrative project management role. The successful candidate will work directly with customers and internal engineering teams to understand business operations, identify workflow and system requirements, translate operational problems into technical solutions, and drive projects from requirements gathering through development, deployment, user adoption, and post-implementation improvement.

The role sits at the intersection of customer operations, project management, business analysis, and able to use claude to do out PRD.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery

• Manage end-to-end delivery of software, ERP, AI, automation, and digital transformation projects.

• Develop project plans, implementation schedules, milestones, resource requirements, and delivery timelines.

• Coordinate developers, technical teams, customers, vendors, and other project stakeholders.

• Track project progress, dependencies, risks, issues, change requests, and deliverables.

• Conduct regular project meetings and provide clear progress updates to management and customers.

• Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed scope, timeline, quality standards, and business objectives.

• Manage UAT, deployment, go-live preparation, user training, handover, and post-deployment support.

Forward Deployed Engineering

• Work directly with customers at the frontline to understand their existing processes, operational challenges, systems, data flows, and business requirements.

• Observe actual user workflows and identify opportunities where software, automation, integration, or AI can improve productivity.

• Translate business requirements into clear functional requirements, technical specifications, workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Rapidly prototype or configure solutions to validate requirements before full development.

• Work closely with developers to determine technically practical approaches to customer requirements

• Troubleshoot implementation issues across business processes

• Adapt the product or solution to real-world customer environments rather than relying solely on predefined specifications.

• Identify reusable features and workflows that can be converted from customer-specific solutions into scalable product capabilities.

AI & Automation Implementation

• Identify business processes suitable for AI agents, workflow automation, document processing, knowledge retrieval, and system integration.

• Help design human-in-the-loop workflows where AI performs operational tasks while users retain appropriate review and approval controls.

• Coordinate integration between AI systems and existing customer platforms such as ERP, CRM, HRMS, accounting, document management, and other enterprise applications

• Evaluate AI outputs and workflows based on operational accuracy, reliability, usability, and measurable business outcomes.

Business Analysis & Process Transformation

• Conduct requirement workshops with management and operational users.

• Map As-Is and To-Be business processes.

• Identify manual processes, bottlenecks, duplicated work, unnecessary approvals, and opportunities for automation.

• Define measurable project outcomes such as manpower savings, processing-time reduction, error reduction, improved visibility, and revenue/productivity improvements.

• Challenge unclear requirements and help customers distinguish between operational needs and preferred implementation methods.

• Convert complex operational requirements into structured implementation plans that engineering teams can execute.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as a key technical and project contact between customers and the development team.

• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

• Manage customer expectations regarding scope, feasibility, timelines, dependencies, and technical limitations.

• Gather feedback from users after deployment and convert it into actionable product or engineering improvements.

• Build strong working relationships with customer management, operational teams, and technical stakeholders.

Technical Competencies

Candidates should have working knowledge of several of the following areas:

• Web and mobile application development concept

• ERP / CRM / HRMS systems

• Workflow automation

• AI / LLM applications and AI agents

• Git and modern software development workflows

• Software testing, UAT, deployment, and production support

Hands-on programming experience is advantageous but the role does not require the candidate to function as a full-time software developer. The candidate should, however, be technically capable enough to work directly with engineers, investigate problems, understand system architecture, and participate meaningfully in technical solution design.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
