Job Summary

Globe Engineering & Construction Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced and driven Construction Project Manager to lead our civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle-from planning and resource allocation to site execution and final handover. We specialize in civil engineering infrastructure, and the ideal candidate will have a strong track record managing earthworks, drainage systems, and pavement technology projects.

You will work closely with site engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure all works are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage site operations for civil engineering infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.

  • Planning & Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project schedules, monitor progress, and implement recovery plans when necessary to meet critical milestones.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities (e.g., LTA, BCA, PUB) for site inspections, approvals, and issue resolution.

  • Technical Oversight: Supervise technical works including earthworks, the installation of drainage systems, and pavement construction, ensuring strict adherence to engineering drawings.

  • Cost & Resource Management: Monitor project budgets, optimize manpower and material utilization, and manage subcontractor performance and claims.

  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and environmental guidelines across all sites.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline recognized by PEB/BCA.

  • Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of relevant project management experience in the construction industry, with specific exposure to civil infrastructure, earthworks, or roadworks.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and familiar with local regulatory authority requirements.

  • Safety Certifications: Possession of a valid Building Construction Supervisors Safety (BCSS) certificate or WSH Safety Supervisor certification is highly preferred.

  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities with a proven track record of managing cross-functional site teams.
