Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage shipbuilding, ship repair, retrofit, and maintenance projects from commencement to completion.
- Coordinate with ship owners, classification societies, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments for smooth project execution.
- Prepare project schedules, work plans, manpower allocation, and material requirements.
- Monitor project progress and ensure completion within approved timelines and budgets.
- Supervise repair and construction activities including hull, piping, mechanical, electrical, blasting, painting, and steel renewal works.
- Ensure compliance with marine regulations, class requirements, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Conduct site inspections, progress meetings, and technical discussions with clients and production teams.
- Manage procurement coordination for equipment, materials, and spare parts required for projects.
- Identify project risks and implement corrective and preventive actions when necessary.
- Prepare progress reports, project documentation, variation orders, and final project reports.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower, tools, machinery, and equipment.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore, or marine engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of vessel repair procedures, marine systems, dry docking operations, and shipyard practices.
- Good leadership, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
- Proficient in project planning software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Must work in irregular shift patterns (Including Night Shifts)
