Project Manager (Core Banking)

About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Project Manager to join our team on a high-impact Core Banking Transformation project. This initiative involves replacing legacy systems with modern, scalable solutions across trade, lending, CASA, and payments. The role focuses on managing the data management platform, onboarding data sources, and mapping data for downstream systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership & Planning: Develop and maintain the integrated project roadmap, plan and schedule multiple sub-streams, and define project scope and success criteria with business and IT leadership.

• Project Execution & Delivery: Track progress using JIRA/MS Project, conduct regular team check-ins, and ensure timely, on-budget, high-quality delivery.

• Governance, Risk & Compliance: Manage budgets, ensure SDLC compliance, maintain RAID logs, and implement risk mitigation strategies.

• Stakeholder Management & Communication: Provide transparent updates, status reports, and dashboards to technical teams and senior leadership.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.

  • 5-10+ years in technology project management, including large-scale, multi-year projects.

  • Minimum 5 years in Banking & Financial Services with a focus on data management.

  • Proven experience with large-scale data projects (data warehouse, MDM, platform migrations).

  • Knowledge of SDLC and project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).

  • Experience managing project budgets $10M.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.

• Preferred:

  • Experience with core banking system transformations.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, Databricks, ADF, Synapse).

  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks.

  • PMP or equivalent certification.
