Job Summary
You will lead the delivery of commercial office and laboratory fit-out projects, combining creative space planning with technical project management to create high-quality, functional workspaces.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of commercial and laboratory interior projects to ensure timely, budget-compliant, and specification-adherent delivery
- Develop efficient floor plans and layouts that optimize workflow for corporate office staff and laboratory technicians
- Produce, review, and refine detailed construction drawings, partitions, and furniture layouts using AutoCAD to translate concepts into technical blueprints
- Liaise with clients, landlords, and government agencies to ensure designs comply with regulatory and operational requirements
- Supervise sub-contractors and vendors on-site to maintain strict site safety and quality control standards throughout renovation
Required competencies and certifications
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD to create and modify technical construction drawings
- Proven experience in space planning for commercial or industrial environments, including understanding laboratory equipment and safety zone requirements
- Strong project management skills including managing timelines (e.g., Gantt charts), cost estimation, and procurement processes
- Excellent bilingual communication skills in English and Mandarin to coordinate effectively with diverse teams and vendors
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Familiarity with HVAC system design and mechanical ventilation, especially for laboratory cleanrooms or office server room cooling
- Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Project Management, or related Engineering field
