As a Project Manager for Cloud Migration, you will lead the end-to-end migration of on-premises infrastructure and applications from on-prem to AWS Cloud. You will work closely with solution architects, cross-functional teams, including IT, business stakeholders and cloud architects, to ensure successful planning, execution and delivery of cloud migration projects.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and manage cloud migration projects from on-premises to AWS, ensuring that project objectives, timelines and budgets are met
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals and deliverables in alignment with business requirements
- Work closely with solution architects, cloud architects, infrastructure teams and vendors to execute the migration strategy
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
- Manage the development and execution of migration roadmaps, including application, database and data migration
- Lead project teams in the identification of dependencies, bottlenecks and resource needs to ensure timely delivery
- Ensure compliance with AWS cloud security standards, policies and best practices
- Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans to senior management and stakeholders
- Monitor post-migration performance and ensure operational stability and optimization of AWS cloud infrastructure
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in managing IT projects, preferably experience in GCC migration
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM and security best practices
- Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure migration projects, particularly from on-premises to cloud environments
- Proven track record in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies
- Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
- Experience with cloud automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skill
