Project Manager - Cloud Data Platform Transformation

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of a cloud-based data platform transformation initiative. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the design, implementation, and adoption of an enterprise-wide data platform that enables business intelligence, reporting, and advanced analytics capabilities. This role requires a strong background in managing complex cloud and data transformation projects, ideally within the financial services domain, and the ability to collaborate with diverse business and technical teams to achieve strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the cloud-based unified data platform project.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, consultants, and technical teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and data strategy.
• Define and manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and risks using recognized project management frameworks (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2, Agile).
• Oversee project governance, including regular updates, milestone tracking, and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
• Facilitate change management activities, ensuring smooth user adoption and organizational readiness.
• Drive data quality, security, and compliance considerations in collaboration with data governance and IT teams.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure effective delivery of external partner commitments.
• Identify and mitigate potential project risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in project management, including 3+ years leading cloud or data transformation projects.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end delivery of cloud-based platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) for data, analytics, or business intelligence initiatives.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and analytics platforms.
• Prior experience in the financial services or banking industry is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset.
