Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage civil and special projects involving site preparation, demolition, exhumation, and reinterment works. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth project execution, regulatory compliance, and adherence to operational workflows and cultural sensitivities.
This role is primarily site-based and requires the candidate to be physically present on-site to manage daily operations and coordinate with project teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage overall project execution from planning to completion.
- Develop and implement work plans covering tree cutting (to stump level), demolition of structures, exhumation, shrouding, and reinterment processes.
- Coordinate deployment of manpower, equipment, and resources to meet project timelines.
- Be present on-site to supervise daily operations, resolve issues, and ensure work progresses according to schedule
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and all applicable authority requirements.
- Liaise with relevant authorities, stakeholders, and members of the public to facilitate project execution.
- Oversee document control systems, including maintenance of work records, progress reports, and photographic documentation.
- Implement and monitor systems for identification, tracking, and verification of exhumed remains to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Ensure all operations are carried out with due consideration to cultural and religious sensitivities.
- Supervise site teams and ensure works are performed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in construction or civil engineering projects, with site management experience preferred.
- Possess valid Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) certification.
- Strong project management, coordination, and administrative skills.
- Experience in document control, reporting processes, and project lifecycle management.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work in a dynamic site environment.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with cultural or religious practices relevant to project requirements will be advantageous.
- Willingness to be based on-site for extended periods to oversee project execution, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure smooth site operations.
