I. Key Role
Managing the programmes from forecasting, cost management, securing profitability of project, to ensuring compliance to specifications, regulations and schedules and evaluation of contractors and suppliers.
II. Principal Accountabilities
- Oversee the planning, implementation of security and safety of the sites and maintenance of the sites and dormitories and assets throughout the project cycles
- Site Activities Management - Plan, manage and coordinate all matters relating to work/construction programmes
- Develop Construction Programmes to meet Contract Delivery Dates
- Monitor, control and ensure projects are carried out according Project Schedule and Budget, etc
- Coordinate with Consultants, Architects and Sub-contractors & relevant authorities and direct construction workers and contractors
- Select tools, materials and equipment and manage inventory
- Ensure compliance to technical specifications
- Ensure reduction in wastage of materials in building projects
- Technical Evaluation of contractors and suppliers
- Continuously review field operations, ensuring that the project is constructed safely and in accordance with regulations and standards and design, budgetary and scheduling obligations
- Manage the performance of staff on an on-going basis and conduct annual performance review
- Develop staff through coaching and mentoring
- Review existing work processes and policies and establish updated procedures.
- Review work progress on daily basis
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
- Analyse, manage and mitigate risks
Candidate must have completed at least 1 construction project with Public Utilities Board (PUB) (i.e. pump stations, water treatment plants, etc) as a Project Manager.
